Man Found Dead Under Xylotymbou Bridge

British Bases Police cordon off the scene on the Dhekelia base as initial inquiries get under way.

A 34-year-old man was found dead early on Monday, 10 November, under the Xylotymbou bridge in Larnaca district. Officers from the British Bases Police have sealed off the area and begun examinations at the scene. An official identification and cause of death have not yet been released. 

According to early reports, the body was discovered beneath the bridge by a member of the public. The location falls within the Dhekelia Sovereign Base Area, where the British Bases Police have jurisdiction. 

The British Bases Police are leading the inquiry at the site, with the area taped off while initial forensic steps are completed. Authorities said there is no indication of foul play.
