Only a few dozen high school teachers made it to parliament for a demonstration focusing on the arrival of House Speaker Annita Demetriou, as MPs were set to debate the governments' proposed evaluation bill.

Participation in the protest was low, as many skipped attendance, in comparison to the hundreds of OELMEK members that took part in the work stoppage.

Discussion of the new system was set to begin around two before the parliamentary education committee.

Primary school teachers are set to follow next week, with a work stoppage by POED members, scheduled on Wednesday the 26th, from 0730 through to 0905, also creating bottlenecks for both parents and children.
