POLITIS NEWS

Drivers heading towards the higher altitudes of Nicosia and Limassol this morning are urged to proceed with caution, as police report reduced visibility and debris on several roads. Conditions remain unstable due to thick fog and recent landslides, creating delays and hazards across the network.

Landslides involving rocks and soil have been recorded on sections of the Kambos–Kykkos–Pedoulas and Kambos–Orkontas roads. Maintenance crews have been dispatched and are working to clear the affected areas.

At the same time, dense fog is reported in Malounta, Palaichori and Agros. Visibility on the Malounta–Palaichori–Agros road and in the surrounding districts is significantly limited, with police noting an elevated risk for drivers unfamiliar with the area.

Police are advising motorists to reduce their speed, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles and keep their headlights on to minimise the likelihood of accidents.
