Bullets Found in Toilets at Larnaca General Hospital

Police have launched an investigation after ammunition of various calibres was discovered inside the hospital’s facilities.

Around 20 bullets of different calibres were found inside the toilets of Larnaca General Hospital, prompting concern and an ongoing police investigation.

Discovery reported on Wednesday afternoon

According to information obtained, police were called to the state hospital on Wednesday afternoon, 4 February, following a report of a suspicious object inside the sanitary facilities.

Officers who attended the scene located and collected the bullets, which had been left in a visible area within the toilets.

Ballistic and DNA tests underway

All bullets have been seized and sent for ballistic examination, as well as DNA testing, to determine whether any usable genetic material can be recovered.

Police investigations continue.
