Police Chief Meets EUROPOL Officials to Discuss Future Strategy

The discussion focused on strategic and operational issues, the exchange of information, and the role EUROPOL is expected to play in supporting Cyprus in the future

Cyprus Police Chief Themistos Arnaoutis met EUROPOL officials on Friday at Police Headquarters to discuss cooperation and future strategy.

Mr Arnaoutis held a formal meeting with Ebner Jurgen, EUROPOL’s Deputy Executive Director for Administration, and Stella Pafitou, Senior Officer responsible for EUROPOL planning issues.

The discussion focused on strategic and operational issues, the exchange of information, and the role EUROPOL is expected to play in supporting Cyprus in the future.

Representatives from the Police Leadership and the European Union and International Police Cooperation Directorate (DEE&DAS) also took part in the meeting.

The meeting is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between Cyprus Police and EUROPOL in tackling crime and improving international police coordination.
