Bringing Cyprus together in rhythm – an evening of dialogue, creativity, and live performances celebrating unity, resilience, and shared voices through the power of music.

The Home for Cooperation is organizing its biggest music event of the year on Sunday 21 June, between 17:00 and 23:00. On the European Day of Music, and the anniversary of the release of its first original song ‘The Time is Ripe’, the Home launches United by Sound Day: A day dedicated to celebrating solidarity, connection, and community building through music.

United by Sound Day will bring together artists, musicians, and members of the wider community for an evening of discussions, participatory music sessions, and live performances, highlighting the role of culture and music in fostering dialogue and shared experiences across communities.

About United by Sound:

Since 2015, United by Sound has used music to build connections and foster empathy between Cyprus’s communities, based on the belief that the island is too small for separate music scenes. The program supports collaboration among music professionals through performance opportunities, knowledge-sharing, skills development, and local and international networking. It also works to strengthen and sustain Cyprus’s music sector by promoting artists, encouraging exchange, and developing supportive local structures.

About the Home for Cooperation:

The Home for Cooperation is a cultural space in Nicosia’s UN buffer zone, fostering dialogue and positive conflict transformation between members of the communities across the divide. Founded in 2011 by the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research (AHDR), it serves as a bridge and safe meeting place in an in-between space. The Home hosts an extensive variety of cultural, artistic, and educational programs and activities with the aim of nurturing creativity and intercultural trust in Cyprus and internationally.
