A fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon on the roof of a hotel in Ayia Napa, prompting an immediate response from the Fire Service.
According to the Fire Service, the call was received at 18:39. The Famagusta Fire Station “Sergeant Adamou Adamou” responded with two fire engines and a hydraulic aerial platform. The fire was brought under control by 19:39.
Authorities said the blaze started during maintenance works and ignited in a false ceiling section of the hotel complex. The fire was contained without spreading to other parts of the building.
