Tourism Revenue Reaches Record €3.69 Billion in 2025

Annual income rises by 15.2% compared with 2024, while December figures also show year-on-year growth.

Tourism revenue reached a historic high of €3.69 billion in 2025, marking an increase of €486.7 million compared with the previous year. The figures, released by Cyprus Statistical Service, reflect continued growth in the sector based on the results of the Traveller Survey.

According to the data, revenue for the period January to December 2025 is estimated at €3,696.1 million, compared with €3,209.4 million during the corresponding period of 2024, representing an increase of 15.2%.

In December 2025 alone, tourism revenue amounted to €96.7 million, up 11.3% from €86.9 million recorded in December 2024.

Spending analysis

The average expenditure per tourist in December 2025 stood at €616.29, compared with €653.27 in December 2024, reflecting a decrease of 5.7%.

Israeli tourists, the largest market in December 2025 accounting for 19.1% of total arrivals, spent an average of €145.03 per day. British tourists, the second largest market with a 19.0% share, spent an average of €65.39 per day.

Visitors from Poland, the third largest market at 11.3% of total tourists for the month, recorded an average daily expenditure of €85.69.
