Four Greek F-16 Jets Arrive in Cyprus, Government Spokesperson Says

Four F-16 fighter jets of the Hellenic Air Force landed in Cyprus on Monday afternoon, according to Government Spokesperson Constantinos Letymbiotis. The deployment follows what he described as an immediate response by the Greek Government within the framework of preventive measures and close cooperation between the two countries.

In a post on X, Mr Letymbiotis stated that “four F-16 aircraft of the Hellenic Air Force have just landed in Cyprus, following the immediate response of the Greek Government, as part of strengthening preventive measures and the close cooperation between the Republic of Cyprus and Greece”.

No further details were provided regarding the duration of their stay or the operational framework under which the aircraft will remain on the island.
