Rainfall the last three days brought the average amount of rainfall recorded in the government controlled areas of the Republic to 89% of the normal amount for the month of March, until March 20th, according to preliminary data published on Friday by the Department of Meteorology.
An impressive amount of rainfall during the last three days was recorded in Stavros tis Psokas, reaching 36.2 millimeters, followed by Saittas with 14.2 millimeters.
According to the data, the average total amount of rainfall from March 1st until the morning of the 20th amounted to 55.1 millimeters, compared to 61.9 millimeters, which is the normal rainfall for the month.
In the last three days, the average amount of rainfall amounted to 7.4 millimeters, which corresponds to 12% of normal.
According to the preliminary data from the Department of Meteorology, the highest amount of rainfall by region from the 1st of the month until 8:00 am of March 20th, was again recorded in Stavros tis Psokas with 134.4 millimeters, an amount corresponding to 115% of normal for the season.
Platania follows with 90.7 millimeters, an amount corresponding to 81% of normal for the month of March, Saittas with 81.1 millimeters, corresponding to 97% of normal for the month, Prodromos with 73.3 millimeters, corresponding to 61% of normal and Pano Panagia with 70.8 millimeters, corresponding to 69% of normal.
