National Guard Drill Scheduled in Akamas on Thursday

A military exercise by the Cyprus National Guard is set to take place on Thursday in the Akamas Peninsula as part of routine operational training.

According to an official announcement relayed by local authorities, the exercise will run from 08:00 to 17:00 and will involve military vehicles, helicopters and infantry units.

Officials stressed that the increased military presence in the area is strictly part of training activities and does not pose any risk to public safety.

Members of the public are advised to remain calm and to follow any instructions issued during the exercise.
