Not that Limassol minds but Tsiknopempti weather looks rather unsettled. It's the day revellers around the island head outdoors to celebrate Tsiknopempti with traditional barbecues and the familiar scent of grilled meats filling the air. However, weak low pressure is affecting the region, while dust will remain suspended in the atmosphere until tomorrow evening.
Today, conditions will be mainly cloudy, with intervals of localised showers and isolated thunderstorms expected at times. Winds will blow mainly from the south to south-west, moderate to strong, and at times locally strong to very strong, at 5 to 6 Beaufort. The sea will be slight to moderate at first, gradually becoming moderate. Temperatures will rise to around 20°C inland and along the coast, and to about 8°C over the higher mountains.
Tonight, the weather will turn partly cloudy. Isolated showers are expected initially, with a slight chance of an isolated thunderstorm, chiefly over the western and south-western coasts. Winds will remain mainly south to south-westerly, moderate and locally strong, at 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be slight to moderate. Temperatures will fall to around 10°C inland, about 15°C along the coast, and near 6°C in the higher mountainous areas.
