Movember at the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre a great success

Participants shaved off...the strerotypes at the November 27th event, recording the largest turnout of recent years.

To the musical sounds of the Anaren Bourek band, both employees, friends, and supporters of the Oncology Centre participated in the action held in the framework of Men's Cancer Awareness Month.

In a relaxed atmosphere, the medical team informed attendees on the importance of preventive screening.

During the main event, there was voluntary participation in a symbolic shaving activity, provided free of charge by George Achilleos and Specchio Hair Art.

The goal was to strengthen awareness on preventive checks, aimed at men of all ages.

Bank of Oncology Centre Director Panos Ergatoudes noted that prevention was not a theoretical concept, but a saving life action.

'Every man must be aware of the basic examinations he needs and carry them out without delay', he added.

Today's participation, Ergatoudes stressed, clearly shows that when information is conveyed in a direct and human way, the public responds.

The Oncology Centre goal was to createe an environment where men will be able to speak more comfortably about their health.

The more you know," he further underscored, 'the easier it is to protect yourself and those who care about you'.

The Centre will continue its awareness actions, aiming for early diagnosis and better care for all.
