November’s arts programme at the Larnaca Biennale continues to unfold with a varied schedule of events and creative actions, spreading a web of creativity across the city of Larnaca and Athienou. In the coming weeks, the parallel programme brings new activities: three cinema nights, live music that traces moments in time, and new mini-exhibitions where children and the local community become creators.
With thousands of visitors already, the Larnaca Biennale is experiencing its largest edition to date.
Curator Sana López Abellán says: “I am thrilled by the way audiences are responding. Seeing the ideas I envisioned for this Biennale come alive through the eyes and feelings of so many visitors fills me with joy. The conversations, the quiet moments of reflection, and the curiosity sparked by each encounter show me that the message I hoped to convey is reaching people in ways that are both personal and collective.”

Stournari street
21 November
21:30–23:30, Savino Live, €10
In the penultimate week of the Larnaca Biennale 2025, the programme presents its sole live-music event. Stournari Street is a musical project that connects the city with artists and the Greek music scene across decades.
Rooted in the Biennale’s theme “Following Traces and Lines,” the performance draws inspiration from Stournari Street in Athens, a central Exarchia thoroughfare that runs in a straight line. It begins at Exarchia Square, passes by the Polytechnic, the theatres along Patision, the Health Ministry and ends at Acharnon Avenue, beside the outcasts of Vathis Square. There, restless people walk: citizens, artists, scientists, refugees, migrants, students. There, social struggles, marches and clashes have unfolded in pursuit of a better and fairer world.

The Stournari Street Band present a distinctive live project built on beloved songs (Nikolas Asimos, En Plo, Pavlos Sidiropoulos, Trypes, Mousikes Taxiarchies and more), in unexpected covers and their own compositions. The musicians themselves have a long record in the Greek-language scene: Giorgos Laggouretos (known from Magic de Spell, Ypothesi X and recently “Giorti for Pavlos Sidiropoulos”), the distinctive percussionist Antonis Nomikos (The Absorbus Machine and others), and Nikos Bardis (guitar and trumpet with Diafana Krina). With a free approach they create a “second reading” of songs with an improvisational orientation, constructing soundscapes and nodding to the extroverted, entertaining moments of the programme.
Music by Nikolas Asimos, En Plo, Pavlos Sidiropoulos, Trypes and Mousikes Taxiarchies, alongside unexpected covers and original compositions, will fill Savino Live for one night only.

The art of together
22 November
09:00–11:00, Municipal Market, Greek and English, free entry
In the final educational workshop, The Box of Transformation, young artists explore imagination through the power of objects. Through play, collaboration and storytelling, they will create small scenes, transforming everyday items into magical elements while cultivating creativity and freedom of expression.
The results of their creations from the entire educational programme, which includes six different workshops, will come together in a collective art installation at the Larnaca Municipal Market. The installation invites the public to interact and continue the creative journey, giving life and continuity beyond the exhibition spaces.

Traces of our heritage – Designing for a cause
27 November
19:00–20:00, Kallinikeio Municipal Museum of Athienou, free entry
One day before the close of the fourth Larnaca Biennale, the programme returns to Athienou to celebrate the creations of students and community members. Uniting culture, creativity and community, the exhibition and awards ceremony present works by children and adults who designed magnets, postcards, T-shirts and other small products inspired by local culture, history and traditions.
The initiative focused on creating visually appealing designs that reflect the area’s rich heritage; including landscapes, historical monuments, traditional crafts and cultural symbols, combining contemporary and traditional artistic styles to represent the values and significance of local culture.
The final products serve as beautiful reminders of local heritage while also contributing to a meaningful cause, leaving a positive imprint on both the community and the local care home.

Exhibition Venues
The exhibition spaces of the Larnaca Biennale 2025 continue to present works by more than 100 artists, unfolding art across the wider area. Curator Sana López Abellán concludes:
“This Biennale has become a full city experience. Each work finds its rhythm within the streets, architecture and everyday life that surrounds it. The city itself, and the district, have become part of the narrative, transforming it into a living space where art and life are woven together harmoniously. We watch people move through these spaces, discovering meaning in unexpected corners, and this is one of the aspects of the journey that fills us most.”
Visit the main exhibition at: Larnaca Municipal Art Gallery, Pierides Museum, Common Ground Gallery, Larnaca Municipal Market, Apothiki 79, Larnaca Medieval Castle, Zouhouri Square, Larnaca Salt Lake, Piale Pasha, Kallinikeio Municipal Museum (Athienou), and the Kostas Argyrou Museum (Mazotos).
