Inflation Rises to 3% in Cyprus and Eurozone in April

Inflation in Cyprus accelerated to 3% in April, up from 1.5% in March, according to preliminary figures released by Eurostat.

The increase reflects renewed inflationary pressure, mainly linked to higher fuel prices caused by the ongoing geopolitical crisis.

Annual inflation in the eurozone is also expected to reach 3% in April, compared with 2.6% in March.
