President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides reaffirmed Cyprus’ support for President Trump’s proposal for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, calling its full implementation “critical” in the wake of Hamas’ response.
In a post on X, Christodoulides said Cyprus stands behind the plan for a lasting truce and commended ongoing mediation efforts. “Cyprus strongly supports all diplomatic efforts, for the benefit of our region,” he noted, underscoring the need to translate talks into action.
