Stasikratous Street has one of its regulars back. Olio has returned for the autumn season with a reworked menu built around contemporary Mediterranean cooking, a different musical act for every night it is open and, new this year, a Saturday lunch service for those who like their weekend to start early.
A menu that plays to the classics
The kitchen's focus this season is contemporary Mediterranean cooking, pairing familiar favourites with fresh ingredients. Courgette fritters, linguine with stracciatella, select cuts of meat and fresh fish take top billing.

It is not a menu chasing novelty for its own sake, and that is part of its appeal. Courgette fritters sitting comfortably next to an Italian-leaning pasta tells you exactly what kind of evening Olio is aiming for: relaxed, generous and rooted in produce rather than theatre.

Wednesday to Sunday, each night with its own character
Olio is open from Wednesday to Sunday, and each evening has been given its own identity.
Wednesdays pair dinner with sets from well-known DJs, an easy midweek case for heading into the city centre.

On Thursdays, Herodotos Miltiadous takes over with a live programme of his own.
Fridays belong to HOVIG, who performs alongside Christina Miliou in an evening built around music and entertainment.
Saturdays are given to Constantinos Christoforou, while Sundays stay loyal to JOLIO Sundays, the concept that has become a fixture of the Olio week.
Saturday lunch joins the schedule
The most practical change this season is daytime. Olio will now also open every Saturday at lunchtime, giving anyone heading into central Nicosia a reason to stop on Stasikratous for a meal in one of the liveliest parts of the city.
