Police are investigating a robbery at a bakery committed in the early hours of Friday in Limassol. The suspect was seen inside the premises but managed to escape after a brief attempt to stop him.
How the robbery unfolded
According to the evidence under examination, at around 3.30am a company delivery driver noticed an unknown man inside the bakery, his face covered with a hood, attempting to remove the drawer of the cash register.
With the help of a bakery employee, the delivery driver tried to restrain him. However, the suspect managed to escape, taking with him the till drawer, which contained the sum of €300.
Escape on motorcycle
A second person was waiting for the suspect outside the bakery on a motorcycle, and the two fled together in an unknown direction.
