A water supply interruption has been reported in the Agios Andreas area following a major fault caused by a burst supply pipe outside the Archaeological Museum, according to an announcement by the Nicosia District Organisation (EOA).
The EOA said the damage, which occurred outside the Museum, has led to a water cut affecting Agios Andreas, including the Central Prisons.
Vehicle traffic is also being affected at the junction of Nechrou Street and Museum Street, in the direction of Lordou Vyronos Avenue, the organisation added.
Water supply is expected to be restored around midday, while the road is expected to reopen to traffic by Saturday, 9 May, before noon.
Members of the public are urged to comply with the temporary traffic arrangements in place.
