Limassol Police Search for Missing Child After Mother’s Complaint

A mother told police that the child’s father took the minor without her consent, according to initial information.

 

Police in Limassol have launched searches after a mother filed a complaint over the alleged unlawful removal of her minor child by the child’s father.

According to the complaint, the woman told police that her former partner, a Turkish Cypriot and the father of the child, allegedly crossed from the north of Cyprus into the government-controlled areas and went to Limassol, where the child lives with the mother.

She reported that the father took the child without her consent and then disappeared. His direction of travel remains unknown.

Police officers are carrying out intensive searches to locate both the child and the father. The case is being investigated by the Limassol CID.
