Veterinary Services say sampling and checks are continuing nationwide as part of the epidemiological investigation and monitoring.

 

No new cases of foot-and-mouth disease have been detected so far, based on the latest laboratory results, according to the Veterinary Services.

In an update to the media, the Veterinary Services said sampling and checks are continuing nationwide as part of the epidemiological investigation and monitoring of the outbreak.

A total of 116 livestock units have so far tested positive.

Regarding the vaccination programme for cattle, sheep and goats, the second dose is expected to be completed nationwide on Wednesday, within the timetable set for May 20, the Veterinary Services said.
