A revised charge sheet was filed on Monday before Limassol District Court in the private criminal prosecutions brought by the family of Thanasis Nicolaou against five defendants.

The amended charge sheet was submitted by the prosecution following instructions given by the judge during the previous hearing, which had been adjourned. According to information obtained by CNA, the revised document has also been forwarded to the defence.

Preliminary objections by the lawyers representing the defendants are expected to be raised on June 4. The proceedings are then scheduled to continue on June 11, when arguments on the objections will be heard.

The defendants are forensic pathologist Panikos Stavrianos, former Limassol Police Director Andreas Iatropoulos, former Limassol CID chief Nikos Sophocleous, former rural policing chief Christakis Nathanael and former head of the Platres police station cluster Christakis Kapiliotis.
