Police are investigating a serious incident reported on Monday afternoon in old Nicosia, after three people allegedly came under attack in the city centre.
According to initial information, the incident took place on Thrakis Street, under circumstances that are still being examined. The case appears to involve people from Israel.
One person was injured during the incident, suffering an injury to the ear. Police officers were called to the scene to carry out examinations and take statements, while investigators are looking into the circumstances under which the altercation broke out.
As part of the investigation, two people were taken to CID Nicosia, where they are being questioned by the authorities.
Police inquiries are ongoing.
