Three people travelling on Swedish passports have been arrested in connection with the attack on a 47-year-old Turkish Cypriot man in Ayia Napa, according to information obtained by the Cyprus News Agency (CNA).
Earlier, police announced that three 18-year-olds had been arrested and taken into custody in the early hours of Monday to assist with investigations into the case.
They are expected to appear before the Famagusta District Court for the issuance of remand orders.
According to CNA sources, "all three travel on Swedish passports, but their origins are Albania, Chile and Iraq."
Fourth suspect identified
At the same time, police are searching for a fourth individual who has already been identified in connection with the case.
