Three people were arrested in Paphos following coordinated operations by Cyprus' Drug Law Enforcement Unit and the Paphos Information Management and Analysis Unit, police said on Saturday.
Two of the arrests were linked to drug-related offences, while a third person was detained for allegedly attacking police officers during a search operation.
According to police, officers carried out searches on Friday at three residences and one premises in Paphos district following intelligence concerning individuals suspected of involvement in the possession and trafficking of illegal drugs.
In the first operation, officers searched the home of a 35-year-old man and seized €42,500 in cash, £345 sterling, 40 Danish kroner, 89 grammes of cannabis, 1,133 ecstasy tablets and 90 capsules containing anabolic substances.
The suspect was arrested at the scene. A subsequent search of his vehicle uncovered an additional five grammes of cannabis, leading to his re-arrest.
The 35-year-old is expected to appear before Paphos District Court on Saturday for a remand hearing.
In a separate search at the home of a 40-year-old woman, officers found and seized 3.4696 grammes of cannabis.
The woman was arrested and taken to the Paphos Drug Law Enforcement Unit offices for questioning. She was later charged in writing and released pending a court summons.
During a third operation at the residence of another 35-year-old man, police said the suspect verbally abused officers and assaulted two members of the force as they entered the property.
He was arrested after police allegedly found the drugs during the search.
Subsequent searches of the residence and a business premises linked to the suspect did not uncover any illegal items.
The two police officers injured in the alleged assault were taken to Paphos General Hospital, where they received first aid treatment before being discharged.
Investigations are continuing by the Paphos Drug Law Enforcement Unit and the Paphos Minor Offences Department.
