A security alert was raised in Larnaca on Sunday after an unattended travel suitcase was found on Agiou Lazarou Street, about 100 metres from the city’s Jewish synagogue. The area was cordoned off and the standard security protocol was activated, while a bomb disposal team was called to the scene to carry out checks. The inspection found nothing suspicious.
