Bank of Cyprus Updates Privacy Statement

The revised policy outlines how personal data is processed and reflects GDPR and Cyprus data protection requirements.

The Bank of Cyprus has announced revisions to its Privacy Statement as part of its strategy to strengthen the protection of personal data and comply with European and Cypriot data protection legislation.

The updated statement relates to the processing of personal data belonging to individuals who are existing or prospective customers, representatives of customers or prospective customers, and beneficial owners of legal entities that are existing or prospective customers of the bank.

Updated data protection framework

According to the bank, the revision has been made in line with Regulation (EU) 2016/679, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the Protection of Natural Persons Against the Processing of Personal Data and the Free Movement of Such Data Law of 2018 (Law 125(I)/2018).
