Air transport prices in Cyprus fell in June 2026, offering some relief to travellers, according to data released by Eurostat.
Prices were 1.8% lower than in June 2025, compared with an annual increase of 7.8% recorded in May.
Eurostat said annual changes in air transport prices varied significantly across the European Union between April and June.
Belgium recorded steep increases throughout the period, with air fares rising by 41.5% in April, 33.8% in May and 28.7% in June compared with the same months a year earlier.
At the other end of the scale, Slovakia saw some of the sharpest declines, with prices falling by 53.0% in April, 48.2% in May and 45.1% in June.
Across most EU countries, air transport prices declined in April before rising again in May.
In June, Austria (+22.3%) and Greece (+15.1%) recorded some of the largest annual increases, while Hungary (-13.6%) and Poland (-13.1%) were among the countries with the steepest decreases.
