A wildfire that broke out in the early hours of Monday in the Prastio Kellakiou area has been brought under control, according to reports from the scene.
Strong ground forces from the Fire Service and the Department of Forests were deployed to tackle the blaze.
The Kitasweather Volunteer Firefighting Team also participated in the operation, with 15 volunteers, three mobile units and one fire engine assisting firefighting efforts.
Aerial assets were mobilised to support operations as crews worked to contain the fire.
According to information cited by Kitasweather, the fire may have originated from a rubbish bin, although the exact cause has yet to be confirmed.
The blaze erupted near the location of the Kitasweather camera installation in Prastio Kellakiou.
