A fire that broke out on the boundary between a private residence and state forest in Argaka, Paphos district, was swiftly contained following an immediate response by the Department of Forests.
Due to the location of the blaze, crews were mobilised immediately to prevent it from spreading into the forest. The fire was brought under control by ground forces, with no aerial assistance required.
Cause under investigation
The Department of Forests and police are investigating the cause of the fire.
