Three members of the police force, aged 36, 43 and 44, have been placed on suspension following instructions from Deputy Chief of Police Panikos Stavrou.
According to police, the three officers are being investigated in connection with an alleged assault causing actual bodily harm, which is believed to have taken place during the early hours of August 13 in Paphos.
A police statement said the three officers were off duty at the time of the incident.
The case is being investigated by the Paphos Criminal Investigation Department.
Police have not provided further details about the circumstances of the alleged incident or the identity and condition of the person who was reportedly injured.
