Tufan Erhürman will travel to Antalya, Turkey, for the COP31 Climate Summit, which will take place in November. According to reports from the occupied areas, the Turkish Cypriot leader received an invitation on July 14 from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
In a post, Erhürman said he had learned from the press that the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, had said he would also be in Antalya. He added that, as Turkish Cypriot media had asked whether he would attend the summit, he wanted to clarify that he had received an invitation and would also be there.
“As we always say, diplomacy and dialogue are always good,” he concluded in his post.
