Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet US President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday, according to a statement from Netanyahu's office.
The visit, at Trump's invitation, will begin on Monday and will also include Netanyahu's attendance at the funeral of Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, a longtime supporter of Israel, who died last week.
The meeting will mark Netanyahu's seventh visit to the White House during Trump's second term, underlining the close relationship between the two leaders.
Endless fighting
The talks come amid renewed tensions in the Middle East following the collapse of a US-Iran ceasefire agreement earlier this month and as fighting in Gaza continues.
They also coincide with US efforts to broker an agreement between Israel and Lebanon aimed at ending hostilities along the border, while Washington continues military operations against Iran and reinforces its support for Israel.
The visit comes as Netanyahu continues to face an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court over alleged war crimes in Gaza. Trump has rejected the prospect of Netanyahu being arrested while in the United States, saying this would not happen "in any way, shape, or form".
