Around 60% of flights at Riyadh's main airport are expected to be cancelled today following deadly Houthi attacks over the weekend.

Approximately 60% of scheduled flights at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh are expected to be cancelled today, according to aviation analytics firm Cirium, as Saudi Arabia continues to deal with the aftermath of deadly Houthi attacks.

The airport cancelled 99.7% of all scheduled flights on Sunday, according to Cirium data.

Riyadh's airport remained closed on Sunday after an attack that killed one person and injured 11 others.

The incident came just a day after another Houthi attack on the airport that left 13 people dead and more than 300 injured, according to Saudi authorities.

The latest disruptions have severely affected air travel through Saudi Arabia's capital, with airlines continuing to adjust schedules as security concerns persist following the attacks by the Iran-backed Houthi movement.
