Christodoulides Condemns White House Correspondents' Shooting Incident

President says political violence has no place in democratic societies

President Nikos Christodoulidesm strongly condemned on Sunday "the political violence that occurred during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner."

In a post on X, Christodoulides also expressed relief that US President, Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, and all attendees at the event were safe.

“I strongly condemn the political violence at last night’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner,” the President said, adding that political violence “must be firmly rejected” and “has no place in our democratic societies.”
