Man Injured in Paralimni Stabbing, 27-Year-Old Arrested

A 46-year-old man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the leg following an altercation in a car park in Paralimni.

Police said the incident occurred at around 5:30pm on Friday, when a driver allegedly collided with a parked vehicle. The suspect then exited his car and is reported to have attacked the 46-year-old man, who had witnessed the incident, using a knife.

The victim sustained an injury to his left leg and was transported to Famagusta General Hospital, where he received treatment before being discharged.

Investigations by the Famagusta CID led to evidence against a 27-year-old man. A court warrant was subsequently issued, and the suspect was arrested by police shortly after 11:30pm the same night.

He has been remanded in custody to assist with ongoing investigations.
