Just a few hours following the Peyia murder, police in Larnaca were alerted to yet another stabbing, this time at a Tersefanou community home in the Larnaca district.

According to reports, the crime was committed between third country nationals over personal differences involving former and current partners.

The alleged perpetrator was a 40 year old, who stabbed the 34 year old current partner of his former spouse after a home invasion, verbal altercation and attack.

The victim is in critical condition and due to the severity of his injuries he was rushed from the Larnaca to the Nicosia General Hospital for further treatment in the ICU.

The local CID is investigating the circumstances of the case and is currently taking testimony from the former wife and other witnesses.

A similar incident happened at the Kiti community last week when a Sri Lankan stabbed the current partner of his former spouse.

The  alleged perpetrator fled the scene and is being sought by authorities.
