20 kgs of Narcotics Seized in Nicosia

The anti-drug squad launched a wide scale operation this morning, which also resulted in the arrest of two individuals on charges of trafficking.

The operation to seize large quantities of cocaine and cannabis. investigating properties and individuals in Nicosia was still ongoing at noon, as authorities have intensified rheir clampdown on trafficking.

The Anti-Drug Squad spearheaded the wide scale operation in an undisclosed area of the capital, resulting so far, in confiscating at least 20 kilograms of cocaine and cannabis, with much more yet to be seized as part of the investigation.

Police also arrested two individuals on possession of controlled substances and drug trafficking.
