The Tylliria Community Cluster Council is preparing to call for dynamic measures if there is no progress by Monday on opening a crossing point at Kokkina.

According to an announcement, the community leaders of the Cluster met on Friday, November 6, and discussed information about the opening of crossing points, focusing in particular on the Kokkina crossing, which remains closed.

The community leaders unanimously decided that, if there is no progress on Kokkina by Monday, they will call for dynamic measures to pursue their request to open the crossing.

Details of the measures and events that may take place will be announced at a later stage.

The Council renewed its appeal to the President of the Republic to remain firm in his position and honour the promises that, it says, have been made to Tylliria.

“We call on the President of the Republic to remain firm and honour his promises to Tylliria,” the announcement states. It is signed by Nikos Kleanthous, president of the Tylliria Community Cluster and president of the Kato Pyrgos Tyllirias Community Council.
