A two-day event celebrates local produce, traditional flavours and community life in rural Cyprus.

The Cherry Festival will return to Kampo on 6 and 7 June 2026, bringing together visitors for a weekend centred on local flavours, cultural activity and seasonal produce.

Held in the heart of the Cypriot countryside, the festival places the cherry, often referred to as the “ruby of the plains”, at the centre of its programme. Visitors will have the opportunity to sample a range of traditional and contemporary recipes, alongside local products that reflect the area’s agricultural identity.

A celebration of local culture

The event combines gastronomy with cultural expression, offering a programme that includes music performances and community-led activities. The aim is to highlight the character of the region while creating a shared space for visitors and residents.

A focus on seasonal produce

Cherries form the core of the festival, with producers and participants presenting a variety of preparations and uses of the fruit. The event also serves as a platform to promote local cultivation and seasonal harvesting practices.

Programme to be announced

Organisers have confirmed that further details regarding the full programme will be announced in the coming period. The festival is expected to once again form part of the summer cultural calendar, attracting visitors from across Cyprus.
