The Cyprus Comic Con 2025 is set to return bigger and better than ever! In a special episode of PRIMETIME, host DIMITRI G welcomed two of the event’s main organizers, Chris Ellinas and Christopher Barnett, who shared exclusive details about what fans can look forward to this October.
Pre-event at Mall of Cyprus
The festivities kick off with a pre-Comic Con takeover at Mall of Cyprus, offering visitors a sneak peek into the convention with cosplayers, artists, creatives, live bands, and more.
The main event (3–5 October 2025)
Held at the Nicosia State Fair (Cyprus State Exhibition), this year’s Cyprus Comic Con promises a packed three-day program full of entertainment, culture, and pop culture icons:
- Live Music Performances: Japanese all-female J-rock sensation REAL (performing in Cyprus for the very first time), the popular Cypriot band Fuse, DJ Manimal, J-pop & anime-inspired acts, plus performances at the Medieval Tavern and Wrestling Stage.
- Special Guests: Actor Craig Fairbrass (Netflix’s One Piece live action), Jason Page (the original singer of the Pokémon theme song), and world-renowned cosplayers such as Anilik (UK), Pillaroot (Sweden – appearing as Totoro), Robocop cosplayer Miki Askernas, and more.
- Pro Wrestling Cyprus: Returning with a bigger roster, featuring international wrestlers with experience from top organizations, bringing WWE-style action to Cyprus.
- Gaming Tournaments: Competitions in Super Smash Bros, Tekken, Street Fighter, Counter Strike, Rocket League, and more.
- Artists & Creators: International and local talent, including Luis Coelho (famous for his cat illustrations) and FEAL, known for dark and striking artworks.
- Funko Pop Exclusives: Once again, Cyprus Comic Con will feature exclusive limited edition Funko figures, available through the Early Access Ticket system.
New zones & experiences
The 2025 convention introduces bigger and more immersive themed areas:
- Japan Zone: celebrating Japanese culture, fashion, music, and art.
- Medieval Tavern: quadruple the size compared to last year, with live Dungeons & Dragons sessions, themed shows, a bar, and seating for 40+ guests.
- Nom Nom Nomicón Food Court: diverse food and drink options, including Japanese street food experiences.
Tickets & schedule
- Friday, 3 October: Opening Night Party – entry only €5.
- Saturday, 4 October & Sunday, 5 October: Main Convention Days – €12 single-day ticket or €20 for a full three-day pass.
- Outdoor festival areas (food, drinks, concerts, wrestling shows, medieval experiences) remain free to attend.

As Ellinas and Barnett explained, Cyprus Comic Con 2025 is not just an event for hardcore geeks and collectors, it’s a cultural festival for all ages, bringing together fans of comics, anime, gaming, cosplay, movies, wrestling, art, and music. With an ever-growing lineup of international guests and exclusive content, the event continues to establish itself as a major pop culture festival in Europe.
