Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-linked media have published a list of international technology companies described as potential targets, citing the use of their technologies in military applications. The development comes as tensions continue to escalate across the region amid widening confrontation involving the United States and Israel.

According to reports referenced by Al Jazeera, several major American technology firms appear on the list circulated by the Tasnim news agency, which is associated with Iran’s Revolutionary Guards.

Tasnim reported that the list includes companies whose technological infrastructure or products are allegedly being used in military systems.

Among the companies mentioned are Google, Microsoft, Palantir, IBM, Nvidia and Oracle.

The report claims that these companies’ technologies have contributed to military capabilities used in current conflicts, although no specific operational details were provided.

Iran expands definition of potential targets

In a statement cited in the report, Iranian sources said that as the scope of the conflict evolves, the definition of legitimate targets may also expand.

“As the battlefield extends into infrastructure warfare, the field of Iran’s legitimate targets also expands,” the statement said.

The publication of the list comes amid growing rhetoric from Tehran regarding economic and technological infrastructure connected to the United States and Israel. Earlier warnings also included possible actions against financial institutions linked to the two countries.
