An event dedicated to raising awareness, promoting understanding and encouraging social acceptance of people with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) was recently held in Limassol.
The “ADHD Fun Day 2026 – Celebration of Awareness and Acceptance” was organised by the Cyprus ADHD Support Association as part of its ongoing efforts to inform the public about ADHD and promote inclusion and equal participation in society.
In a statement, the association said the event brought together children, parents, volunteers and members of the wider community for a day of activities, games and educational initiatives designed to foster respect for neurodiversity.
Embracing diversity
Through a range of creative and recreational activities, participants had the opportunity to learn more about ADHD, become familiar with the work of the association and help spread the message that people with ADHD possess unique strengths and deserve equal opportunities in all areas of life.
According to the association, the strong public response and active participation demonstrated the importance of similar initiatives in increasing awareness, challenging stereotypes and promoting a more inclusive and accepting society.
The association added that it remains committed to its mission of providing information, support and advocacy for people with ADHD and their families.
It said it would continue working towards a society that embraces diversity and ensures equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of neurological differences.
