Applications for student grants for the 2025/2026 academic year can be submitted online from 10am on Wednesday, 4 November, until 2pm on Monday, 30 November. The dates were announced by the Grants and Benefits Service of the Ministry of Finance.
Who is eligible
According to the announcement, the following may apply:
- Families of Greek students who studied at an academic institution in Cyprus in the 2025/2026 academic year and whose families live permanently in Greece
- Repatriated families of Cypriot students who studied at an academic institution in Cyprus or abroad in the 2025/2026 academic year
How to apply
Applications can be submitted online only, by a parent or guardian, through the service’s online platform at https://sg-yxe.mof.gov.cy. The platform opens for applications on Wednesday, 4 November 2026, at 10:00.
CY Login account required
To apply, parents or guardians must have a CY Login account. This is the personal account citizens use to access the state’s online services securely.

Account verification for repatriated applicants
Repatriated Cypriot applicants must also verify their account. They can do this in one of three ways:
- through e-banking
- by video call
- by visiting a Citizen Service Centre with their identity card
