Fire Breaks Out at Aradippou Factory as Crews Search for Possible Trapped Persons

Firefighters are battling the blaze in the industrial area, with additional support requested from EMAK.

 

A fire broke out at a factory in the Aradippou industrial area on Monday afternoon, prompting a large response from the Fire Service and searches inside the premises for anyone who may be trapped.

According to the Fire Service, the call was received at 13:22.

Three fire engines, a hydraulic aerial platform from Larnaca fire stations and a breathing apparatus vehicle were dispatched to the scene.

Additional support was also requested from EMAK, which responded with another fire engine.

While crews are working to bring the fire under control, searches are being carried out inside the factory to determine whether any people remain trapped in the building.

No further information has so far been released on the cause of the fire or on any possible injuries.
