The two criminal investigators from Greece who form part of the Independent Team of Criminal Investigators tasked with examining the "Mafia State" case have arrived in Cyprus. The team was formally constituted on Monday and officially took up its duties, marking the start of the independent criminal investigation.
According to an announcement by the Ministry of Justice and Public Order, the team's members held a brief meeting beforehand with the Minister of Justice and Public Order and the Deputy Chief of Cyprus Police at the Filoxenia Conference Centre.

The Independent Team of Criminal Investigators tasked with examining the "Mafia State" case was constituted on Monday and formally took up its duties. Beforehand, team members held a short meeting with Minister of Justice and Public Order Costas Fytiris and Deputy Chief of Cyprus Police Panikos Stavrou at the Filoxenia Conference Centre, at which only procedural and organisational matters relating to the start of their work were discussed.
Following the meeting, the team immediately began its work, exercising its duties with full independence and objectivity, in accordance with the terms of reference assigned to it by the Council of Ministers. The Ministry of Justice and Public Order wished the team's members every success in their mission.
