The Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow warning for extreme high temperature on Friday. The warning is valid from 14.00 until 16.30 (local time).
According to the department, the inland maximum temperature is expected to rise to around 40 degrees Celsius.
The warning comes after a yellow heat warning was also in force on Thursday during the afternoon.
