The British Bases Community Relations Fund (CCRF) has allocated €54,000 this year to support local projects, schools, charities, welfare organisations, cultural associations and sports clubs across communities within and neighbouring the Sovereign Base Areas.
According to a statement, the funding will benefit more than 28 communities in the Eastern and Western Base Areas.
Officials said the grants are aimed at improving quality of life and supporting community initiatives.
Eastern SBA Administrator Maria Kyriakidou-Pieri said the funding reflects the administration's commitment to supporting local communities and contributing positively to residents' daily lives.
Meanwhile, Western SBA Administrator Giorgos Kiteos said the Bases would continue supporting local communities and organised groups wherever possible, adding that the funding would strengthen their work and service to local residents.
