A meeting aimed at developing a comprehensive rapid-response programme for the restoration of traffic flow will be held on Monday afternoon at the Ministry of Justice and Public Order, under Justice Minister Konstantinos Fytiris.
According to a ministry statement, the meeting has been convened in response to the recent incident on the Nicosia-Limassol motorway and is scheduled to begin at 2pm.
Representatives of all relevant authorities will attend, with discussions focusing on coordination and the actions required to implement the proposed programme.
The initiative is intended to improve the speed and effectiveness of traffic management and road reopening procedures following major incidents.
Following the meeting, at 3pm, the Minister of Justice and Public Order is expected to make statements to the media.
