Police have arrested a 16-year-old in connection with a suspected arson attack at the former Corner Pub in Nicosia on 5 August.
The fire broke out at around 4.30pm on Wednesday at the abandoned building. Police officers and firefighters attended the scene, and the blaze was extinguished.
Evidence points to arson
On-site examinations determined that the fire had been started deliberately, according to police.
Investigators subsequently obtained evidence against the teenager, who was arrested on Thursday under a court warrant and remanded in custody to assist with enquiries.
The Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department is continuing its investigation.
